Strelitzia Nicolai | White Bird of Paradise

Bird of Paradise Strelitzia Nicolai

Strelitzia are characterised by their lush, tropical foliage. Lovely paddle shaped leaves make this guy a gorgeous addition to your home. Nicolai is the bigger white flowering relative of Reginea. Strelitzia are a real favourite when it comes to adding architectural pieces inside your home, they really make a statement. Low maintenance and perfect for injecting some green into your space.

How to care for your Strelitzia

Water:  Keep the soil moist during Summer and water when the top 5cm of the soil feels dry. During the colder months, allow the soil to dry out a little more.

Light: Strelitzia thrive in bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight could scorch the leaves and damage the flowers.

Humidity: They like humidity but would be happy with normal household humidity levels.

Temperature: They prefer the warmth, about 20 degrees C but can tolerate colder.
