Philodendron Gigas is a rare plant native to Panama which belongs to the Araceae family. Very similar to the Melanochrysum it is within the Philodendron genus and is a climbing Philodendron with huge dark green velvety foliage. This is a real wish list plant and it's easy to see why! Delicate gorgeous velvety leaves have shades of copper as the plant matures.
Please note number and size of leaves may vary from plant to plant. Due to the delicate nature of the leaves small imperfections are to be expected.
How to care for your philodendron
Water: Water once the top soil feels dry, droopy leaves can mean too much or not enough water.
Light: A Philodendron can survive in low light but grows faster and looks better in medium light.
Humidity: They enjoy humidity, mist every few days.
Temperature: They like warmth, try not to expose to cold draughts.
